One of our first discussions for Spring 2014 begins with recognizing Dr. King and the ever-present message of his work in texts like The New Jim Crow by Michelle Alexander.  Last year, we began with the text reading of Dr. King's Letter from Birmingham Jail... This video is a strong visual performance of that letter by actor Corey Jones, developed by Professor James Frederickson, Ya'Ke Smith, and Lucien Douglas.  More information is available in the About tab of the YouTube location linked above.
